If you are looking for the best things to do in Singapore then look no further than the Singapore Flyer. Among all the places I visited with my family in Singapore, I felt that the Singapore Flyer gave me the best view of the sprawling and bustling city.
Best time to visit the Flyer
I planned my visit post 7 pm because that is when the city lights add sheen to the already vibrant city. I have friends who visited in the mornings as well when there was no crowd. If you have a baby while travelling, then morning can be preferred to evening but if you want to have a view of the city in all its glory then evening is the time you should choose.
How to book tickets?
I booked my ticket to the Singapore flyer via Klook. You can check Singapore Flyer + Time capsule tickets.
I booked my tickets in bulk via Klook attractions pass so it was cheaper for me. You can also do the same if you want to save some money while travelling abroad.

How long is the experience?
The experience in just the flyer alone will be for 30 mins. There is a portion within the flyer premises called the time capsule which explains how the city emerged from being a small fishing village to what it is today. The interactive multimedia exhibits with sensors within the time capsule will transport you to a whole new magical land. You can spend 30 minutes to an hour in the time capsule of the Singapore Flyer.
Does the flyer have anything special to do?
Money is all you need when in Singapore to get the best of all experiences. You can book for private capsules for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and more. You can also dine in a private capsule with panoramic views.

Operating hours
The Singapore flyer is open on all days of the week including public holidays. You can visit anytime between 10 am – 10 pm whereas 9.30 pm is the last admission into the Singapore Flyer premises.
Travelling with a baby?
If you are carrying a stroller then that has to be parked before you enter the time capsule. There is a parking station for strollers.
There is a nursing room along with a diaper changing station after you exit the time capsule and just before entering the flyer.
My experience at the Singapore Flyer
There were 28 capsules overall where each capsule had the ability to carry upto 28 passengers. The folks who let you enter the capsule make sure that 10 is the max count of people within a shared capsule for a breathtaking peaceful experience. The only thought that ran in my head was what if my baby cries when I am inside the giant shared capsule? I didn’t have to worry about it once I got in because my baby also loved the flyer capsule.
The capsule was wide enough with tough glasses on all sides of it. There were 4 small benches close to each other for sitting. There was a 2 iPad size monitor which displayed different attractions in Singapore.
The flyer moved slowly, there was mild music, we interacted with 2 other Chinese families from China who were in the same capsule as us and the giant capsule kept soaring up and up to give us the majestic breathtaking view of the iconic city. I fell short of words when I was within the capsule to express how I felt about being there. The 360° view of the Marina Bay in all its glory is an experience in itself.
We were thrilled with the views, lights, colors, sea, skyscrapers and the attractions nearby which were visible from the capsule. How fast those 30 mins flew by is something I still wonder.
