The first question that came to my mind during our Singapore trip was, should I visit a museum with my 10-month-old? Now that I did visit the Museum of ice cream in Singapore I am happy that I decided to take the leap with a baby to care for. This post is entirely about my experience of visiting this place with my baby and what to look forward to along with things to look out for.

Is it a museum?

Museum of ice cream is not one of your regular museums which has preserved animal skin or ornaments that are centuries old. This so-called museum is so PINK. It is full of facts about ice creams with many fun things to do and click pictures. It is more fun to visit with kids than just as couples.

How to buy tickets?

I purchased my tickets via Klook as a travel pass. This saved me a lot of money when I purchased Singapore attraction tickets in bulk.

You can just buy museum of ice cream tickets as well on Klook.

You can buy tickets from the official website of Museum of Ice Cream as well.

Ticket cost

Foreigners: 43 SGD

Do I have to buy tickets for kids?

The entry is free for kids under 2 years. Children under 12 have to be accompanied by adults and regular ticket cost applies.

What to do at Museum of Ice Cream?

There are play areas within the museum with wallpapers in different shades and patterns of pink. There are ice cream stations as well after every activity room.

Are the ice creams unlimited?

Yes, but the options/choices you get are very less. Except Ben and Jerry’s, the other ice creams weren’t rich in taste, so you wouldn’t want to consume more than 2 at any station.

Different types of rooms

Lobby

You can give yourself an ice cream name and click pictures before you proceed to the next room. You will get to learn a lot of interesting facts about ice creams.

Conclusion and thoughts

Museum of ice cream in Singapore was fun mainly because I went with my family especially with my baby. If you are a solo traveller apart from clicking pictures there is nothing that you can count as fun here.

Though the ice creams in all the 4 stations were unlimited, apart from the one at the Ben & Jerry’s station in Art’s corner, I didn’t feel the other ice creams were worth the hype.

It is recommended to book tickets online as when I went, I saw a lot of people waiting outside not being able to enter as the slots were full.

If you book a slot during a certain time, you should make sure you reach there on time, otherwise entry might not be allowed.

If you are going along with kids, fun is assured!
